Sonogram

It's a BOY!!!!!
Today Greg and I went and had a Sonogram done and found out we are having a baby boy!
(These pictures kinda suck but I hope you can get the idea)

- This picture is of his "man hood" as Morgan calls it.-

I am only 17 weeks so the tech. was not sure if she was going to be able to determine the sex of the baby. When we first started he was face down in the fetal position with his feet covering his crotch. He stayed in that position for almost the entire time. Right towards the end he decided to show us he in deed was a boy. The tech. said "oh yes definitely a boy! Yes, a boy for sure!" Lets just say, Greg was proud!

I had to leave the girls with a friend as this Dr's office doesn't allow kids.
When I went to pick them up Morgan came running down the stairs and Bailey took her time.
"What are you having" Mo said. I told them I was having a boy and Morgan started screaming and jumping up and down. Bailey said "oh I kinda wanted a sister" then noticed that everyone was excited so she too joined in the fun for a min. then went back to what she was playing with . Morgan on the other hand is still talking about it!
Everything checked out great. The baby is healthy and growing like he should!
We are thrilled to be having a boy!
Greg's first comment was "hey...I'll have someone to take fishing."
(Bailey LOVES to fish! I don't know what he's thinking.)

Happy Birthday Chunky Baby!

Before my Mom and Dad left my Mom had a tea party with the girls.

Preface:

Morgan has a favorite doll she named "Chunky Baby" she is rather large and has sand in her toosh making her "chunky." She is not my favorite as she is rather ugly and has makeup on but Morgan loves her (she was given to us by one of the neighbors).

"Chunky Baby"

We were at my parents for a couple of weeks before they left and Morgan said every day that is was Chunky Babies birthday. So when my Mom planned the tea party she thought it would be fun for Mo if it was a "Birthday Party for Chunky Baby Tea Party." Morgan was on cloud 9!

The Birthday Tea Party was a hit complete with choclate cake, trail mix, gummy bears, and even some soy nuts (hey they needed something healthy LOL!)

Even Papa stopped in for a little chocolate cake!

"Smile Bailes!"

For Both Grandmas!

Both Grandmas have asked for another "swimming" video, so here it is...

(Actually here they are and I am sorry but you will have to turn your head to watch them, other than not recording with the camera turned, I don't know how to rotate the videos.)

We just got back from Stephenville on Friday. We went to celebrate a late birthday with Christie as she was away for work. If you could imagine the highlight of the week was the pool...and family of course:)

Morgan has the little scrubber that is used on the pool but has decided that her Uguck (Eric) is a very dirty boy. Ouch!

"I can swim all by myself!"

(Papa and his Little Girls)

About a week ago when were at my parents I was in the pool with Bailey and I told her to hold onto the edge and swim to me.
(She had never done this before but I thought she being 5 should know how to swim!)

I had to promise that I would catch her!

(this is Eric, not me...just to make things clear)

It only took a couple of times and she was swimming under the water like a mermaid!
She was sooo very proud of herself!

In the midst of all the excitement Morgan said "well I can swim with my floaties."

Like what's the big deal?

We are home now but Bailey still tells everyone that she can swim all by herself!

Texas Nights

I'll start off saying that we Graff's are not snake people. Most any bug or varmit are fine just not snakes!!!!!!

The other night Carly went out to feed the fish in the pond and came in freaking out because there was a snake in the pond.

When the boys went out to see and it was gone!

Christie peeked through the window and there it was.

We are a group of rather

boring people so to have

a snake in the pond was rather exciting.

Christie, Eric and I HATE snakes! But bored as we were thought we could use the entertainment!

Dad got the big net, Eric the shovel and the rest of us were on chairs or as far away as possiblewith still being able to see. Dad fished for a long time then realized all he was catching was fish and rotten leaves.

It was getting dark so Christie got the big spotlight to shine in the water. As soon as we were about to give up we saw the snake outside of the pond watching us.

He was a rather arrogant snake. He would show his head just enough for us to see

him but not to kill him.

Dad had a great idea to try and scare the snake out by squirting water at one side of where he was hiding under the lip of the pond.

Brave Carly stood up on the side of the pond and squirted water in the gap to try and get him out. No such luck!

Greg decided he was missing out on the

action and came out and made a snare

to try and ketch it. Once againno such luck.

At 10pm Dad went to bed and left us girls out to kill the snake (For some reason Dad has always used his daughters in all of his dangerous adventures). We were actually having a great time talking and laughing. Not much later Christie went to bed and Carly needed a snack.

As was outside all by my self waiting for a snake to poke his head out(not too sure what I was going to do if he did come out other than scream) I saw 2 snakes looking at me!!

I started yelling but no one heard. I shined the light in at Greg and he finally came out and tried
to snare them once again but lets just say he's a
better fisherman than a snake catcher.

At 11 pm we called it quits and went to bed.
No one has seen of either snake since!

We will give this a try...

After much persuasion I have decided to give this whole blog deal a try.

I am going to start very simple until I can get the hang of it so please bare with me.

We are in Stephenville trying to soak up the last of Grammie and Papa before they leave.

The girls love being here I think more than our own home. Before we got here the girls were asking how many days we were going to stay. I told them two and a half weeks. The next day when I was packing Bailey was so excited, she said "I am so glad we get to stay for twenty two and a half weeks."

Grammie told Bailey at dinner tonight that she is going to have to start minding her mom in a few days as she will not be here to spoil her rotten.

I no longer have children just little fish! They love Grammie and Papa's pool! Bailey has discovered the diving board, and Morgan love to float "all by myself."
